Roma's Easter in the Country is simply an event that has something for everyone. Take in the quirky goat races and the colourful street parade, or experience the Mud Derby madness, witness some great action at the popular Rodeo or simply browse among the many delights of the country markets. This year Brendan Walmsley will be a highlight at the country music concert on Saturday night, while the bush poets will again feature at a campfire show and at the breakfast on Sunday morning.
Motor sports enthusiasts will be again be saturated with action from the drags, speedway and motorcross. There is plenty for the whole family such as the XXXX Gold Cup Race Meeting, art exhibitions, tours of Roma and Roma Bush Gardens, the Big Rig Night Show and a host of kid's activities especially on Friday afternoon with model train rides, an Easter Egg Hunt and children's entertainment.

Children: The Big Rig Parklands is very well set up for children and is the venue for a number of kid's events including the Easter Egg Hunt and miniature train rides.

Many of the events are free, with some of them requesting a gold coin donation. Please be aware that there are some admission charges to events such as the rodeo, speedway, drags and the music concert. Roma's main tourist attraction, the Big Rig is open throughout Easter, with visitors being able to enjoy the self guided walk through the Oil Patch and the spectacle of the Night Show.
Roma is situated on the crossroads of the Warrego Highway and the Great Inland Way, being about six hours drive west of Brisbane and less than four from Toowoomba. Roma is serviced by daily flights from Brisbane, daily coach arrivals and twice-weekly by the Westlander rail system. Roma is easily accessed by the fully sealed roads from the south-east corner of Queensland.
Admission costs to individual events can vary from AUD2.00 to AUD20.00 and discounts for children will also apply.
