Description

The Mareeba Rodeo has a history dating back to 1949 and has become a national icon on the rodeo calendar. Top level competition and entertainment gives spectators plenty to watch over two days of full-on action. All the usual rodeo events including bull ride, saddle bronc, steer wrestling, ladies and junior events also the Comedy Clown, Mazda Teams Relay, Interstate Rodeo Challenge Queensland versus New South Wales, Beaut Ute Muster, Woodchops, Stud Beef Cattle Show and the Agricultural Show Exhibition Marquee will be there.

The Mareeba Rodeo Festival starts a fortnight before the Rodeo with the Junior Cowpokes Competition, Walkamin Country Music Club Concert and horse sports at Kerribee Park. The Mareeba Rodeo Ball on Friday kicks off a varied weekend of sports and activities including the Art Show, cycle races, bocce, tennis, indoor bowls, lawn bowls, golf and cutting.
