With two tours including tropical fruit wines, macadamia and coffee plantations, as well as tropical fruits, cheeses, and chocolates, there is something for everyone. Experience interactive farm tours, meet locals and taste different foods at every stop. Visiting small family farms and being able to talk with the owners and family members, who work the business, provides a wonderful change of pace and amazing insights into Australian life.
Both Food Trail Tours take you off the beaten track and away from the crowds on these exclusive, small group tours. There are no souvenir shops, just excellent produce. There are two tours to choose from and it is rare to even see another coach all day.

Mareeba Food Trail Tour
The Mareeba Food Trail Tour departs from Cairns and travels to the amazingly different ""dry tropics"", of the Northern Cairns Highlands. You will be taken off the beaten track, away from the crowds to tour farms and taste their excellent, commercial produce.
Take a guided walk among tropical fruit trees. Visit Granite Gorge for morning tea and a unique wallaby feeding experience. Tour both macadamia and coffee plantations and taste the excellent produce. Dine on Barramundi and tropical fruits for lunch. Taste tropical fruit wines at DeBrueys Boutique Winery and finish the day with tropical fruit ice creams.
Visiting small family farms, and being able being able to interact with the owners who work these business, provides a wonderful change of pace and amazing insights into Australian life.
The ""dry tropics"" landscapes feature huge granite outcrops and sandy soils, stunted eucalypts, grevilleas and savannah grasses.

Highlander Tour
The Highlander Tour departs from Cairns and firstly travels to the amazingly different ""dry tropics"" of the Northern Cairns Highlands. It then visits the ""wet tropics"" of the Central Cairns Highlands (Atherton Tablelands). You will be taken off the beaten track, away from the crowds, tour farms and taste their excellent, commercial produce.
Tour a coffee plantation and taste their excellent coffee in the roasting shed. Taste tropical fruit wines at DeBrueys Boutique Winery. Hear all about macadamia nuts on an interactive farm tour, with tastings. Dine on Barramundi and tropical fruits for lunch. Taste more topical fruit wines at Wild Mountain Cellars. Visit Gallo Dairyland for a Devonshire tea. Taste the cheeses and chocolates, view the cheese factory and see cows being milked. Finish the day with a visit to the amazing Curtain Fig Tree.

Miscellaneous:
Children aged zero to three years must be booked, as they occupy a seat. People under the age of 18 cannot, by law, be served alcohol.
Cancellation fee is at the operator's discretion. Cancellation due to verifiable illness will be no charge.
Pickup will be provided from all Cairns and Northern Beaches accommodation.
Type of clothing for the tour should be comfortable casual clothes, enclosed shoes such as sneakers, and a shady hat, also bring drinking water, camera and film, warm jacket (May to September), and sunscreen.
Taxis may be used for transfers, cost is a Food Trail Tours expense.
Food Trail Tours have membership with; Australian Tourism Export Council, Association of Tropical North Queensland Wineries Inc., Native Foods Association for Far North Queensland Incorporated.
Pickup / transfers will be provided from all Cairns and Northern Beaches accommodation.
Tour transfers from Cairns and Beaches accommodation are included.
Food Trail Tours reserve the right to change itineraries without notice, and will not be held responsible for failure to meet other schedules or for delays beyond control.
Proof of entitlement to a concession must be supplied for any concession rates.
