At Cape Tribulation, Daintree National Park, you can experience two of Australia's most significant World Heritage areas - the Great Barrier Reef and the Wet Tropics. A stop at Alexandra Range lookout provides a view of the lush green coastline sweeping down to the oceans' inviting blue water. Explore tropical lowland rainforest, swamps, mangroves and beaches on walks ranging from the 650 metres Jindalba boardwalk to the seven kilometres Mount Sorrow ridge trail. From interpretive signs, learn about life in this spectacular environment. Look for the endangered southern cassowary. The campground at Noah Beach makes a good base (bookings essential).
