Gilligan's Backpackers Hotel and Resort Cairns is the ultimate experience in backpacker's hotel accommodation and leisure in the heart of the Cairns Central Business District. From there it is only a short walk to the Esplanade, Lagoon, Reef Boat Terminal and Marina as well as nightclubs, restaurants and shopping malls.

Cairns makes for the perfect stepping off point to the Great Barrier Reef and Daintree Rainforest. Gilligan's own onsite tour desk can help guests with any inquiries and tour bookings. Gilligan's Night Venues provide one of the most exciting events in the local area. Regular live bands and the latest sports and music vision show on a giant video screen in the open air bar area. The chic mezzanine Pure Bar is designed for the serious late-night reveler.

Gilligan's is home to the iconic Rusty's Markets, open from Friday to Sunday. Here you can purchase a vast array of exotic tropical fruit and vegetables, herbs and spices as well as plants, arts, crafts, gifts and souvenirs from local farmers and artists.

The purpose built backpackers resort offers 24-hour reception and check-in to a total of 120 large air-conditioned rooms, all with ensuites and secure card access. Guests can choose eight bed, six bed, four bed dormitories or private hotel rooms. Within the complex you will find a cafe and pizzeria, barbecue area, dining hall, guest laundry with ironing facilities, communal kitchens, internet lounges, pool bar and spa area, cocktail bar, gaming area and free car parking.
