Daintree Valley Haven is a unique secluded hideaway near Daintree National Park offering three very private self-contained Bed and Breakfast bungalows on 30 beautiful acres of tropical gardens and rainforest. A bird-watcher's Paradise.

A daily breakfast basket, delivered to guests the previous afternoon, includes tropical fruits, juice, cereals, home-made jam and yoghurt, locally-grown freshly-ground coffee and Daintree tea. Enjoy your own 'breakfast with the birds' on your private verandah.

Tucked at the end of the lovely Stewart Creek Valley, eight kilometres beyond Daintree Village, it is a true haven for lovers of nature, birdwatchers, honeymooners and couples seeking a peaceful getaway from the bustle of the city, or to relax during a busy holiday-schedule. Far from the madding crowd yet ideally-located for exploring all the region's attractions- Port Douglas, Mossman, Cape Tribulation and the Atherton Tablelands (Cairns Highlands) are all within a 30-90 minute drive.

Relax and enjoy the peace and quiet, stroll along Daintree Valley Haven's walking trails, watch out for some of the 120 species of birds, marvel at beautiful butterflies like Australia's largest - the magnificent Cairns Birdwing and the iridescent blue Ulysses Wallabies and Bandicoots are frequent visitors and Cassowary and Platypus occasionally appear.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations within 48 hours of arrival will be charge one night's accommodation.

Cancellation within 24 hours - or a 'no show'' - will be charged for all nights booked.

How To Get There

Self-drive is essential as public transport is very limited.

From Cairns Airport the drive takes about 90 minutes. Drive north through Mossman and on to Daintree Village (do not turn right to the Daintree ferry on the way).

From the Village follow the blue Daintree Valley Haven signs for eight kilometres along Stewart Creek Road.

Queen Bed Bungalow

Queen bed and convertible sofa for one extra adult.

Bungalow is air-conditioned, fully-insect-screened, ensuite bathroom with shower, ceiling fan, kitchenette with cooktop, microwave, fridge and all cooking utensils.

There is a timber dining setting, sofa and 'papa-san' chair, private verandah with outdoor furniture overlooking wetlands-dam and rainforest.

There are two of these bungalows - 'Cassowary Castle' and 'Birdwing Bungalow'.
