Description

Cape Tribulation Camping is located two and a half hours drive north of Cairns, halfway between Cairns and Cooktown, in the heart of the World Heritage Daintree Rainforest. This is where the ""Rainforest meets the Reef"" on beautiful Myall Beach, Cape Tribulation. Accommodation includes double and twin safari tents, powered and unpowered sites.

The campground is in an exquisite location surrounded by rainforest right on the beach, where you can step off into the Coral Sea and snorkel the fringing reef. Facilities include hot showers, barbecues, camp kitchen, campfire, laundry, internet, kiosk, licensed cafe, van storage, EFTPOS, information centre and tour bookings. Tours include sea kayaking (tours and hire), half day reef trips, horse riding, jungle surfing, guided day and night walks, exotic fruit tasting, crocodile and wildlife cruises and four wheel drive tours.

Cape Tribulation Camping is within walking distance to rainforest creeks with beautiful swimming holes, national park boardwalks, rainforest and beach walks, selection of bars and restaurants and cinema. Fishing is also permitted on Myall Beach.

Cape Tribulation Camping is the perfect location for bird lovers to observe many native and migratory birds in a tropical rainforest setting.

Cancellation Information:
Cape Tribulation Camping - Refund Policy
All refunds incur a five per cent administration fee.
Cancellations made between 28 and 14 days of arrival incur a 25 per cent fee of the total booking fee. Cancellations made between 14 and three days of arrival incur a 50 per cent fee of the total booking fee. Cancellations made within a three day period of arrival incur a 100 per cent cancellation fee of the total booking fee. Cancellations made prior to one month of arrival will receive the full refund less five per cent administration fee.

How To Get There:
Cape Tribulation Camping is 37 kilometres north of the Daintree Ferry along a sealed road, which takes approximately 45 minutes. It is a two and half hour drive north from Cairns and one and half hours drive north from Port Douglas. The camping ground is 200 metres past the Cape Tribulation and Tourist Information Centre on the right side with signs on the main road "Cape Tribulation Camping Ground". Turn right into their driveway and drive 400 metres to their carpark and reception.
You will be greeted by their friendly staff and allowed access to the camping ground.


Cape Tribulation Camping Rooms


Safari Tents


Permanent tents raised off the ground with timber floor and canvas walls. Double and twin beds with linen provided, but not towels. Tents have lights, fans and sliding lockable doors and there is a covered deck with table and chairs. Two Safari Tents have a connecting deck for families.

Powered Sites


Powered sites are located adjacent to Myall Beach. They have low season and high season rates. Low season includes January, February and March. Shoulder period includes April, May, October, November and December. High Season includes June, July, August and September. There are different sized sites so it is advisable to include size of caravan, campervan motor home, camper trailer when booking.

Unpowered Sites


Unpowered sites are adjacent Myall Beach and are serviced by two amenity blocks, laundry facilities and large camp kitchen where everything is undercover and includes barbecues, gas cookers, sinks with hot water, urn with boiling water, fridge, freezer facility, pool table, rainwater tanks and campfire. Lots of large shady sites to choose from and group bookings welcome.
