Nestled within the magnificent ecosystem of the World Heritage listed Daintree Rainforest, on the shores of the Coral Sea and the Great Barrier Reef, Bloomfield can lay claim to be one of Australia's most remote luxury retreats and offers a truly unique and relaxing way to experience the tropical rainforest.

Bloomfield Lodge has been carefully designed to blend into the beauty of the rainforest, while views over the blue waters of Weary Bay are a reminder of its coastal location. With a maximum of 36 guests, Bloomfield has an intimate and relaxed atmosphere. Besides the peace and tranquility that is Bloomfield's essence, activities are plentiful.

Choose between trips to the reef or deep into the rainforest, go fishing from the lodge's jetty or take advantage of excellent facilities and have a massage or beauty treatment.

Bloomfield offers quality cuisine, matched with premium wines, served in the comfort of the open-air dining room, mealtimes are a very sociable time with the opportunity for guests to swap stories and experiences in an atmosphere designed to create lasting memories.

Arriving is half the fun at Bloomfield. A thrilling two hour journey involves a courtesy car from your accommodation, a scenic flight over the dazzling coastline dotted with tiny islands and reefs, a short trip by road and a river cruise. The final touch in this unique little adventure comes as the boat lets down its wheels and is pulled ashore for the driest of landings and a cooling drink, whilst the magic of Bloomfield takes over.

Cancellation Information:
If cancelled more than 28 days prior to arrival - non refundable deposit AUD100.00 per person. If cancelled 28 to 14 days prior to arrival, a 50 per cent cancellation fee will be incurred. If cancelled 13 to seven days prior to arrival a 75 per cent cancellation fee will be incurred. If cancelled less than seven days prior to arrival no refund will be given.

Further Details:
All meals are included in the package price. Meals at Bloomfield Lodge are exceptional. Fresh seafood, sumptuous steaks, tropical fruit and vegetables are skillfully prepared by the Bloomfield chef and served in the relaxed comfort of the open air dining room. For a romantic dinner setting, private dining can be organised in their gazebos overlooking Weary Bay. Additional charges apply.

The flight does depart Cairns at 9.00 a.m. each morning with guests arriving at the Lodge around 10.30 a.m. On departure guests leave the Lodge at 9.00 a.m., arriving back into Cairns between 10.30 a.m. and 11.00 a.m.

If you want to explore further a field and time allows, there are a number of optional tours available. These include half-day and full-day excursions to local waterfalls, Aboriginal cultural walks, day trip to historical Cooktown and Aboriginal cave paintings at Laura, a 30-minute flight northwest of Bloomfield.

How To Get There:
Transfers to and from Cairns are included in the package price at Bloomfield Lodge. The two hour journey from Cairns to Bloomfield Lodge is in itself a thrilling experience. It begins with a courtesy car which takes guests to the VIP lounge at the Hinterland Aviation, General Aviation. A 30 minute scenic flight follows the dazzling Queensland coastline over the fringing reefs and tiny islands of the Coral Sea. Landing on an outback airstrip, guests are met by Bloomfield's friendly staff and escorted on the short trip by four wheel drive to the banks of the Bloomfield River. From here, the launch cruises downriver to the sea and across Weary Bay to Bloomfield Lodge, nestling almost unseen in the rainforest. The final touch in this unique little adventure comes as the boat lets down wheels and is pulled ashore for the driest of landings and a cooling drink, whilst the magic of Bloomfield Lodge takes over.

Tariff Information:
Rate is inclusive of accommodation, all meals, return scenic flight, four wheel drive and boat transfers, guided rainforest walk, guided river cruise and 24 hour tea and coffee.
Children under 10 years are not normally catered for.
After seven nights - extra nights are charged per person per night. Single supplement charged per stay. Rates for short stay are on request.

Queenslander Room

These high-ceilinged rooms are situated in a pretty terrace of four overlooking Weary Bay, prefectly sited to catch the sea breeze. Each room has a generous verandah and outdoor seating for relaxing after the day's activities. A separate room, spread over two loors with shared bathroom, offers family style accommodation.

Two different configurations available: Four one bedroom (sleeps up to two people) rooms available, one two bedroom (sleeps up tp four) rooms available.
