Townsville Airport is a key regional airport in Queensland, servicing the City of Townsville and the Thuringowa region which represent the centre for business and government activity in North Queensland. As a result there is a significant level of business travel between Townsville, Brisbane and Sydney. Townsville is also a hub for other activity centres in North West Queensland.

How To Get There:
The airport is situated on a coastal plain between Rowes Bay and the Bohle River, five kilometres west of the city centre. The Airport orientation is such that the existing northern end of the main runway is only one kilometre from the coast, whilst the terminal and administration building area is approximately 2.6 kilometres inland.
