Description

Xstrata Greek Fest Townsville is a unique event which embraces both Greek and Australian cultures through music, dance, cuisine, fun and games. It is a family event which provides a safe and friendly environment. The festival is one of the few free entry cultural/arts events remaining in the region.

The Hellenic dancers of Townsville and the Greek Community Dancers from Sydney will be performing variety of Greek dances. My Kitchen Rules finalists, Steve and Helen will demonstrate Greek Cuisine. Alvin and the Chipmunks will perform two shows each day. A band from Sydney will entertain with traditional and modern instruments.

There are rides for the children, children activities, grape stomping, plate smashing and fireworks. One can go for a swim in the big lagoons or relax under the rain trees, enjoy the food and wine and watch performances on stage or on a giant screen from anywhere on the park.

There is parking available through the Weir School entrance Ross River Road by following the signs.
Buses will be organised to and from venue.
