Description
The Paluma Push is a point to point adventure mountain bike race. North Queensland's glorious weather makes it perfect for those southerners' looking to escape the winter chill. The ride starts in Paluma Village and winds its way through World Heritage rain forest to Paluma Dam, down into big timber and open cattle country and finishes at the historic tin mining settlement of Hidden Valley.
... moreThe course consists of dirt road, old Four Wheel Drive tracks and sections of single track with some climbs and lots of fun down hills. The Paluma Push recreation course is approximately 42 kilometres long and is recommended for the novice to intermediate riders. The Paluma Push Competition Course is approximately 70 kilometres long and has extra technical sections, difficult climbs and descents to make it more of a challenge and is recommended for the more experienced and fitter rider.

Cancellation Information:
Townsville Rockwheelers Mountain Bike Club Inc (The race organisers) reserve the right to cancel the event at any time due to matters beyond its control, including act of God, natural disasters, inclement whether, war, strike, laws or interventions or acts of statutory bodies, major accidents during the race, or other such matters. If cancelled or postponed Rockwheelers will make every effort to reschedule the event. Not that they would want to but you never know!?! If a refund is requested, the registration fee less a AUD20 administration charge will be refunded before 12pm 18 July. No entry fees will be refunded if a rider withdraws from the event after 12pm Wednesday 18 July (ie after close of registrations).
