Day Two: Discover historical Cooktown. Visit the historical museum, featuring original artefacts from Captain Cook's Endeavour, including anchor and cannon. In the afternoon, visit one of the remote uninhabited islands on the Great Barrier Reef. Join the marine biologist on a glass bottom boat tour, or take a guided snorkelling tour to see some of the 1500 fish species.
Day Three: Arrive at Lizard Island. Walk to Cook's Look, the highest peak on the island and a photographer's delight. Relax, or take a scuba dive or snorkel. Cruise to Ribbon Reef Number 9 in the afternoon.
