The Charters Towers Show is the annual event of the Towers Pastoral, Agricultural and Mining Association Incorporated. There are Equestrian, Stud and Prime cattle, Poultry and Pigeons, Caged birds, Cavy, Boer goats, and, on the Sunday morning, a Dog Show event. They also have competitions in craft, baking, art, fruit and vegetables, orchids, roses, crochet, knitting, sewing, leather work, wood turning and a school student art displays to name a few. The site also has the Showman's Guild rides and sideshow alley plus Show traders from all over Australia. Come, stay Monday night and join in the fun on Tuesday too!

Miscellaneous:
Charters Towers is a lovely historical town situated 135 kilometres southwest of Townsville. As you enter the town on the Gregory Development Road, it will change to Hackett Terrace. Turn left at the Charters Towers Motel onto Dalrymple Road. Follow the road around past the Park Hotel into Mossman Street. Turn right at the Zara Clark Museum (Mary Street) and follow the road to the end to the Show ground entrance.
Free parking is around the Show ground but not inside the grounds.
Camping is AUD35 per site but you will need to book and confirm this with the Show Secretary before arrival.
Whole of Show passes are available for Sunday, Monday, Tuesday at AUD18 an adult, AUD4 per child, AUD10 per pensioner/ student and AUD45 per family, two adults /two primary school children.
Trade space is also available: call the Show secretary on 07 4787 7292 to arrange.
