Description
Tastes of the Burdekin is an annual food festival that forms an integral part of the Burdekin Water Festival.
The festival theme for 2012 -- Our Land Our People -- and their collaboration with Australian Year of the Farmer will be reflected in the Tastes of the Burdekin event with a focus on local produce and foods from the many cultural groups that make up the Burdekin region.
The Burdekin Water Festival Committee is excited to announce that their celebrity chef for 2012 will be Miguel Maestre. Miguel is currently appearing on Channel Ten's new lifestyle show - The Living Room - and will participate in a number of events during Tastes of the Burdekin.
With fantastic food and market stalls, live entertainment, cooking demonstrations, competitions and fun for all the family, Tastes of the Burdekin should not be missed.
