Herveys Range Classics features Classic Vehicles including bikes and commercial vehicles produced before 1978. This event is modelled on the nationally famous Bay to Birdwood in South Australia and starts with vehicles forming up alongside the Townsville Entertainment Centre then leaving in groups making their way in an informal parade along Townsville's Strand then to the Heritage Listed Herveys Range Heritage Tearooms and their newly developed parklands.

The 45 kilometre drive and four kilometre Hervey Range ascent will provide entrants with the chance to enjoy their vehicles then park on display with their own prepared picnic hampers, or purchase the food and beverage onsite. See Australian Automotive history with free entry to the general public, plus childrens attractions including fairy gardens, petting zoo and the nationally renowned Tunnel Tours recapturing the Greenvale to Townsville train line.
