Description

The township of Tin Can Bay has a rich history in the seafood industry and the annual Tin Can Bay Seafood Festival is one way to showcase what the locals get to enjoy all year long!

But while the emphasis is on celebrating their abundance of seafood, there are plenty of other activities to entertain the whole family.

Event highlights include live stage entertainment, helicopter joy rides, cooking demonstrations, market stalls, rides for the children and motor bike and steam driven engine displays.

Various competitions are also held throughout the day, the famous prawn eating competition always proves popular as does the mullet throwing competition and for the children there is the fish toss or skateboard and BMX competitions.
