Description

The second annual Noosa Winter Festival will take place on the sunny shores of Noosa Heads. The Festival includes a variety of events for participants including the Noosa Blue Water Swim, Noosa Half Marathon, Noosa Sentry Cycle, Mizuno Noosa 10 kilometre Run and the Noosa five kilometre run/walk.

In 2010 the Festival saw three existing stand alone and established events - Noosa Blue Water Swim, Century Bike Ride and Noosa Running Festival - merge on one weekend in May 2010 into an ultimate weekend of swimming, biking and running in the picturesque setting and idyllic weather conditions of Noosa in winter.

The inaugural two-day multi-sport Festival drew more than 5,500 participants and over 15,000 spectators, with a Festival village based out of the Noosa Heads Lions Park featuring a sport and lifestyle expo, live bands, entertainment, food vendors, and a program of activities.

Children:
Children are welcome to spectate and compete in many of the Noosa Winter Festival events.

Disabled:
There is access for guests with a disability. Disabled amenities are available at the Lions Park, Noosa Heads.

How To Get There:
Noosa is an easy one and a half hour drive north of Brisbane along the Bruce Highway. Take the turn-off at Eumundi and follow the signs along the Eumundi-Noosa Road into Hastings Street, Noosa Heads. To avoid parking in Noosa, the official Noosa Winter Festival Shuttle bus will be running from Cooyar Street Noosa Junction to the Noosa Heads Transit Centre on Saturday 21 May and Sunday 22 May 2011. Exact shuttle times are to be confirmed, check out the website, www.usmevents.com.au, closer to the event dates.

Nomination fees apply to competitors. Spectators are free of charge.
