Heart of Gold Film Festival is a four day and three night feel good film extravaganza. It will be a fun event that can be enjoyed by anyone. All films screened have nourishing, inspiring, hopeful or funny themes. Guidance (G) and Parental Guidance (PG) sessions are also available.

Short films are a big focus for them although features are also screened. Most of these films will not be available to see any other time in Australia.

Come along and enjoy the addictive experience of wonderfully made independent short films and informative film oriented seminars. Family sessions are available. So bring all the family along and enjoy a day or evening out at the Heart of Gold Film Festival.

Children: School students may attend with their teachers during the school sessions. Other children and their parents and carers are invited to the G-rated sessions from 4.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m. at James Nash State High School. Note that sessions at the Festival at the Gympie Civic Centre are variously rated G, PG or M rated for mature themes.

Disabled: The Gympie Civic Centre and James Nash State High School have disabled facilities.

Miscellaneous:

The Heart of Gold International Film Festival is screened at the Gympie Civic Centre theatre in Mellor Street, one of the five streets off the famous five-ways at the end of the main shopping street, Mary Street. James Nash State High School is in Myall Street on the northern end of Gympie, not far from the golf course.
