Goanna's tour travels to more destinations (both two and three day tours) than any other tour to Fraser form the southern tip at Hook point to as far North as Indian Head. The Moreton Island tours are designed to be full of activities you may not have tried before like sand boarding down huge sandhills, snorkelling amongst tropical fish or learning to surf. This tour provides the Ultimate way to truly experience Moreton Island and get value for your ""touring dollar"". Travel by four wheel drive in a small group to our base camp, which is only a few metres from the surf beach. This is truly a wilderness destination. When you are not racing down the sand hills, learning to surf, or snorkelling at the Tangalooma Wrecks, they will show you the Island, in fact more of the Island then on any other tour. They will also throw in some history, culture and eco-walks. Tours that will leave you wrecked! All meals, all four wheel drive transport, use of equipment, transfer costs are included. This tour covers all the major destinations over three days covering the Island from the southern tip, Hook Point, to almost the top, Indian Head. Because you will be travelling in a small group, you will have time to properly explore the areas you visit and enjoy swimming, hiking, and beach activities, or simply soak up the sun and atmosphere. No rush, no large groups. The Tour covers Indian Head, Lake Wabby, Maheno shipwreck, Eli Creek, the Pinnacles, Rainbow Gorge, Lake Allom, Central Station, Wanggoolba Creek, and Pile Valley. A great way to experience Moreton Island. Once at Moreton Island you will commence your fully guided Extreme Day Tour with Goanna Adventures including sand boarding and toboganning with the experts plus snorkelling at the Tangalooma Wrecks! You will go by four wheel drive across the Island and up eastern Beach to Blue Lagoon where you can have a relaxing swim in its fresh waters. Children: Children are welcome. Children must be over six years old. No child is carried on the two day camping tour to Moreton Island.
Miscellaneous:
All tours are wilderness based - itineraries must work around tides and weather conditions and may vary slightly from advertised. All tours are also adventure-based and best suit those 18 to 35 or who are seeking a more active tour. Comfort is not always the priority in getting to destinations.
Departure points are based at major transit centres in both Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
Same prices apply all year. There is a AUD20.00 per person surcharge that applies for each Queensland Public Holiday that is included in the tour dates (excludes day tours). Student discount of AUD10.00 per person.
