Description

Floating Land is a 10-day art event held at Boreen Point, in the UNESCO-listed biosphere of Noosa. The Green Art program includes presentations, installations, workshops and performances, all based on the theme of 'Nature's Dialogue'. Floating Land is one of Australia's leading Green Art events. Held in a beautiful 'unspoilt' village that offers a pristine lake in an isolated area on the Noosa River, the event offers days of concentrated cultural and environmental activity. The landscape, the calibre of artist, and the community enthusiasm make it an event that is rarely experienced. The ability to sit and work with artists, as well as watch them work over the 10 days on their pieces, engages an audience that do discuss and learn about their environment and the creative work they are doing.
