Gympie comes alive in October, to celebrate it's birthday and the discovery of Gold in 1867 with a vibrant calendar of events. Commencing with a Gala Ambassadors Ball, 12 days of historical and cultural activities are planned with the highlight being a colourful display of local talents in a Twilight Street Parade and Party. Other features include a Command Performance, Gold Panning Competition, Mary Valley Rattler Rail Trips and local fresh markets. The festival will have something for everyone.
Various events throughout the calendar will be ticketed events. Some will require registration or competitor fees. The majority of activities will be offered free of charge to the general public.
