Description
The small outback town of Moonie comes alive with its 7th annual Yabbie Races. Locally bred crustacean are auctioned off to the highest bidding syndicate before they come head to head on the ""Yabbie Track""; winners often taking home four-figure handfuls of cash. A fun filled day for the whole family; there are sweeps on the yabbies and raffles with great prizes, a rock climbing wall and jumping castle for the kids and a hotly contested Fashions of the Fields competition for all. Bring a tent, swag or caravan and come along for this outback race day with a difference.
Food will be available for purchase and licensed bar open all day until midnight. There are no EFTPOS facilities or ATM available on site or in town. Chartered bus service will run a return same day service from Toowoomba and Dalby - details on web site.
