Description

Aloomba Lavender fields in Liston, via Stanthorpe, are harvested by hand from Late November through December each year prior to being processed into essential lavender oil. Once processed the lavender oil is made into products including lavender flavoured chocolate and boiled lollies. Aloomba Lavender provides some of the tastes of the granite belt.

During the harvest the lavender flowers are put through a distillation process to create the lavender essential oil, which is then used in many culinary, body care and gift products available through the Aloomba Lavender gift shop.

To participate in a demonstration of the lavender oil distillation process including treatment of the lavender flower stems prior to the distillation process, please phone Aloomba Lavender for the available times and dates during harvest.
