Hi Travellers, Rowan here. I set up Arcadia Valley Escape in early 2008 and since then it's been going from strength to strength. The main two reasons I set it up was because I love being around new people (particularly ones on holiday as they seem to be the happiest) and I want to reshape the image of the 'terrible farmers' that rape and pillage the land! This is not true at all, of course there are always some bad examples, but for the most part farmers are responsible and have a spiritual attachment to the land with the intention of keeping it healthy and productive for generations to come. There's a heap to see and do at your leisure. The best part about Arcadia Valley Escape is you have a whole house all to yourself. Nobody, no disturbances, no worries. Come on out and I'll show you what I'm talking about!

How To Get There:
Arcadia Valley Escape is out of the way but very accessible at the same time. Travel north from Roma through Injune, travel for 40 kilometres and you'll find the Arcadia Valley turn off on your right hand side. Turn off and drive for another 40 kilometres and you'll see the Arcadia Valley Escape sign.
Alternatively if you're travelling south, head for Rolleston and follow the signs for Injune. 85 kilometres south of Rolleston take the Arcadia Valley turn off on your left hand side. Drive for another 42 kilometres and you'll see the Arcadia Valley Escape sign.

When you arrive, follow the sign to either the Homestead or the Cottage (whichever you booked). They won't be on the doorstep waiting for you so just go inside and make yourself at home. They'll be over sooner or later.

As the Homestead is booked out as a private house when staying at Arcadia Valley Escape, you have the choice of any of the rooms inside. There are two bedrooms with double beds, two bedrooms with twin singles and a less private back area with two single beds.

The Cottage is booked out as a whole house and can sleep up to five guests with a double room and two single bedrooms. The fifth bed is in a less private area. The Cottage has a large kitchen, indoor and outdoor fire place, air-conditioning in all bedrooms and satellite television.

The Shepherds Hut is the newest addition to the farmstay as they have recently renovated the original Shepherds Hut for the area! A small house with only two rooms, it is certainly the most historic house in Arcadia Valley. This cute house has a combined living/eating and sleeping room with a beautiful bathroom. Twin share.
