O'Reilly's Rainforest Retreat, a true nature paradise, is situated in the picturesque mountains of World Heritage Lamington National Park, 119 kilometres south-west of Brisbane. The O'Reilly family have been welcoming guests since 1926. Visitors from all over the world enjoy this special location. Lamington National Park is World Heritage Listed and is the largest sub-tropical rainforest in Australia. It is home to over 200 bird varieties, 500 waterfalls and has 160 kilometres of walking tracks.
O'Reilly's is famous for its tree-top walk which offers visitors a close up view of the rainforest canopy and its wildlife. Explore on your own or take advantage of the guided Discovery Program. The Discovery Program includes guided walks, four wheel drive bus trips, nocturnal walks and glow worm walks, flying fox rides, slide shows and much more. Walk through lush rainforests, past waterfalls, under tree gardens of ferns and orchids, and into the unspoilt world that is yours to explore. Babysitting facilities are available, arrangements must be made prior to arrival. A children's activity club 'The Scrub Club' for children aged five to 12 years, operates during Queensland school holidays.

Disabled: Two Mountain View Rooms set aside for disabled access. Featuring open showers, lower switches and rails. Access to rooms is assisted by one of their staff.

Independent bus companies operate out of Brisbane and out of the Gold Coast. Buses from Brisbane depart every day. Buses depart everyday from Coolangatta airport.
Children up to 15 years stay free of charge when sharing with two adults in a room using existing bedding. Children enjoy a range of activities, including educational bush walks and learning about the flora and fauna of a national park and how to protect it. Scrub Club operates during Queensland school holidays and public holidays enabling kids to mix with people their own age. A special dinner time for kids, allows mum and dad to take some time out whilst the kids are looked after.

From Brisbane - follow the Pacific Motorway (M1), take exit 38 off the freeway onto Stanmore Road at Yatala, follow Stanmore Road through until the end and then turn left. Follow this road through Tamborine Village and then turn left when you see signs for Canungra. Once in Canungra, take the first turn right past the school (which is also on the right) into Kidston Street. From here it is 36 kilometres to O'Reilly's, sit back, relax, wind your window down and take in the views and fresh mountain air. From the Gold Coast - Follow the signage through Nerang to Mountain Resorts. Take the Mount Nathan Road into Canungra. Once in Canungra, turn left into Kidston Street. From here it's 36 kilometres to O'Reilly's, sit back, relax, wind your window down and take in the views and fresh mountain air.
