Situated in Queensland's Sunshine Coast Hinterland, Glasshouse Mountains Holiday Village is located on the main Glasshouse Mountains Tourist Drive, just five minutes down the road from Beerwah and the exciting and educational world renowned Australia Zoo, home of the Crocodile Hunter, Steve Irwin. It is situated only 50 minutes north of Brisbane City, and 20 minutes to the glorious sun-drenched surfing beaches, including Kings Beach at Caloundra and the main Sunshine Coast beach at Mooloolaba.

The Glasshouse Mountains, named by Captain James Cook in 1770, are a series of 13 breathtaking volcanic peaks which jut out from the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, providing a spectacular backdrop to the Sunshine Coast. It is believed that the cause of these peaks was from the melting of crust above a 'hot spot' in the mantle below. Seven of these volcanic mountains are situated within the Glasshouse Mountains National Park, and home to many protected wildlife and plants species. When staying at their Holiday Village you get to experience living amongst these mountains with some magnificent views. If visitors are ready for a climbing adventure, enjoying the mountains close up, be sure to check out the literature on each mountain first and choose one to suit your fitness level. A booking can be organised for a rock climbing and abseiling adventure. There are also many picturesque lookouts for great photographs, situated not far from, Glasshouse Mountains Holiday Village along the Glasshouse Mountains scenic drive.

Glasshouse Mountains also has its very own railway station, as it is located along the main Queensland Rail line, from which pick-ups can be arranged. Alternatively, if travelling by bus or train, and heading straight to Australia Zoo in Beerwah for the day, a pick up can be organised from the Zoo at the end of the day and drive back to accommodation at the Holiday Village.
