Victoria Point

Victoria Point is the perfect place for a picnic or a swim, and is the gateway to Coochiemudlo Island.

With their picturesque views and relaxing atmosphere, there are numerous parks in and around Victoria Point. Popular with family and social groups, Yeo Park has the islands in the background, and is a perfect location to unwind, have a barbecue and spend time playing in the water. Wilson Esplanade is another location that provides protected swimming in the sheltered waters of Moreton Bay.

Alternatively, take a leisurely walk along the esplanades as they join together to wind around the bay, offering walkers, bike riders and rollerbladers a great view as they participate in these leisurely activities. The green lawns, flowering gardens and waterways of Cascade Gardens (Colburn Avenue) offer a tranquil setting which is popular for family gatherings and weddings.

For the nature lover, Victoria Point is home to several environmental reserves, one of which is Point Halloran Conservation Reserve, off Orana Street where you have the opportunity to walk around the boardwalk, and keep an eye open for koalas. Eprapah, on the corner of Cleveland-Redland Bay Road and Colburn Avenue, is another great venue to view koalas and observe the native bushland as you walk one of the many trails available. Egret Colony Wetlands, home to many species of birdlife is another place for you to view nature at its best.

Victoria Point is the gateway to Coochiemudlo Island. Regular passenger ferries and vehicle barges depart from the Victoria Point jetty, Colburn Avenue. The island is just a few minutes from Victoria Point by ferry. A passenger ferry also departs from Cleveland for Coochiemudlo Island.

Victoria Point is about an hour's drive from the centre of Brisbane.
