Karragarra Island

Karragarra, once called Rabbit Island, is the smallest of the Bay Islands. 'Karra', as it is affectionately known has no store or retail facilities - one of the secrets to remaining a quiet and peaceful place to be enjoyed by visitors looking for seclusion and tranquillity

Just four kilometres long and half a kilometre wide, the island supports around 100 residents, who rely on buying their supplies on the mainland or Russell Island, so be prepared to bring along a picnic basket.

There are parks, sandy beaches and barbecue facilities.

Wet a line, take a walk to the rainforest at the northern end of the island or just relax in the sun on Karragarra.

Ferry access is from Redland Bay.
