Description

Tower Hill Picnic Races is a two day bush race meeting held at Hillview Station near Muttaburra. It is unique as it is a grass fed only race meeting and owner's race for trophies such as homewares, tools, race equipment and more. There is no prize money on offer for the races.

The Weekend will include children's entertainment, calcuttas, nearest the Pin Golf Comp (Saturday) with AUD1,000.00 prize money, Fashions of the Field (Saturday), Boat Race (Saturday) and only ever seen at these races, sweeps and nightly entertainment.

There is free entry into the races and there are free powered camping sites.

There will be a licensed bar and the weekend is fully catered. Free powered camping facilities are available as well as hot showers and toilet facilities. A fun weekend for all the family.

General Comments

2013 will be the 91st annual race meeting of the Tower Hill Picnic Amateur Race Club.

It is a warm friendly atmosphere of good old bush hospitality.

How To Get There

Hillview is located 43 kilometres north-west of Muttaburra, 188 kilometres east of Winton, 218 kilometres south of Hughenden, and 141 kilometres north of Longreach.
