The Julia Creek Dirt and Dust Festival offers visitors three jam-packed days of fun and entertainment. Experience real outback hospitality when the tiny North West Queensland outback town of Julia Creek swells from 400 people to 2,500 in one weekend! See the gutsy outback triathlon teams in action, back a winner at the outback horse races, kick on till late with the nightly outdoor concerts, see the spectacular Dirt n Dust Bull Ride - PBR Challenger Series. Julia Creek is situated on the Overlander's Way (Flinders Highway) 650 kilometres west of Townsville and 250 kilometres east of Mount Isa.
Travellers can adventure across the breadth of Queensland via the Overlander's Way, fly into Julia Creek (Minimal flights available via Rex Airlines), or via coach operators (Greyhound Coaches) from Townsville or Mount Isa.
