Central Eagle Aviation (AOC Ayers Rock Scenic Flights), offer Scenic Flights and Private air charters from Birdsville, Queensland, through the vast and spectacular country of outback Australia. They fly to 'Big Red', Lake Eyre, the Channel Country and Simpson Desert.
Follow the river systems of the Georgina, Diamantina and Cooper Creek as they meander their way down through the Australian outback to Lake Eyre. Experience the vastness of the Simpson, Strzelecki, Sturt Stony and Tirari Deserts. Fly over working Cattle Stations located on the famous Birdsville Track, rich with history from the Pioneering and Kidman days to present. Witness some of the largest bird colonies in the country, brumbies, camels, and magical array of wildflowers.

Lake Eyre Flight
This 3.3 hour flight takes you out over Big Red, over the Eyre Creek (Georgina River), and southbound across the Simpson Desert, over the Kallacoopah Creek, to the Warburton Creek, Warburton Cup, and Lake Eyre. You will then track north to intercept the Warburton Creek which you will follow as it meanders through the Tirari and Strezleki Deserts, past the Kalamurna Station homestead. Over Cowarie Station and into Goyder's Lagoon. You then continue northbound up over Goyder's Lagoon, past the Clifton Hills Station Homestead, over the Inside Track (the original Birdsville Track), up the Diamantina River, over the Pandie Pandie Station homestead to Birdsville.

Channel Country Flight
This 1.5 hour flight takes you out over Big Red, following the QAA Line to the Eyre Creek. You will then follow the Eyre Creek as it weaves its way through the Simpson Desert to Goyder's Lagoon. In Goyder's Lagoon you'll fly over the Inside Track, the original Birdsville track, and then up the Diamantina as it meanders its way past Pandie Pandie Station, through the State Border to Birdsville. This flight allows you to see two of the three main rivers that flow into Lake Eyre, the Georgina (Eyre Creek), and Diamantina. Goyder's Lagoon is the Catchment for these two Rivers prior to them reaching Lake Eyre. Goyder's Lagoon is a spectacular sight when these Great Rivers Flow, a mass of vibrant green lodged between two of the Great Australian Deserts; the Simpson and Sturt Stony Deserts.
