The Blackall Heartland Festival is western Queensland's premier arts and cultural festival, offering 10 days of entertainment at the home of the Black Stump. The event will pack in an art exhibition, a fabulous food and music fiesta, glamorous racing, talented tutors in a number of artistic fields, photographic opportunities, fun with billy cart racing, sheep shearing, poetry, and the Shockwave youth festival. Regional produce, especially red meat, will be a feature of the 2013 event as well as other regional produce and arts and craft market stalls. The theme for 2013 is "Stories from the Heart" . All ages are catered for in this inspiring outback setting.

Yes. Dogs are welcome as long as they are kept on a leash at all times.
How To Get There
Blackall is 1000 kilometres north west of Brisbane on the Landsborough Highway. As well as car travel, the town is serviced by a daily Greyhound bus service and has three QantasLink air services a week. Booking well in advance is recommended to secure your seat.
