Queensland's Outback

Bedourie Camel Races and Camp Oven Cook-Off
Bedourie, Far West

12 July 2014

13 0079 4257

Undoubtedly one of the Diamantina's most fascinating events, the Bedourie Camel Races draw crowds from all over Australia to witness the marvel of the outback's magestic camels and their brave riders racing through the dust. Amidst the action, bush chefs get cooking and, using a Bedourie Camp Oven, a historic piece of outback equipment, stew up the best feed they can in a unique cook-off to rival all others.
