Four Wheel Drives Only: The stock route around Augathella is designed for you to follow in the footsteps of the sheep and cattle men of Australia, to discover a totally different way of life.
You will find all the 'constructions' used by drovers to control their herds. Spear traps, sheep brakes and pit sawmills, an all played a part in developing this rugged land we call the Outback.
A detailed map and directions is available at either the Charleville or Augathella Information Centres.
Please note this track can be closed for maintenance for up to two weeks after rain. This track is taken at your own risk and the Murweh Shire takes no responsibility for injury or damage to vehicles.

How To Get There
Collection of a written detailed map and instructions is available from either the Charleville or Augathella Visitor Centres. Augathella is approximately 90 kilometres north of Charleville on the Matilda/Mitchell Highway.
