Located in Outback Queensland, Mount Isa hosts the largest and richest rodeo in the Southern Hemisphere - The Isa Rodeo!
This year, the Isa Rodeo will be celebrating 50 years since the very first event was organised in 1959. The event has come a long way since then and now offers nothing short of a week long rodeo. The festivities include rodeo ball, mardi gras, horse race, ute muster, live entertainment, plus three days of non-stop rodeo action.
Held annually on the second weekend of August the Isa Rodeo is held at Buchanan Park, Mount Isa's brand new multi-million dollar facility with a purpose built rectangular arena and the time-event tunnel in line with those in the United States.
So come and be a part of the history and make your way out to 'The Rodeo Capital of Australia' for the quintessential Outback experience and the pinnacle rodeo event in Australia.
