The Pioneer Valley, located west of Mackay, Queensland, consists of 11 small rural communities and incorporates the Eungella National Park.
The River Rock to Mountain Top Community Festival celebrates the natural and man-made attributes of the Pioneer Valley and Eungella. The festival presents sub-events which appeal to every age group.... more
Beginning with the Pioneer Valley Rotary Charity Tagalong Horse Ride and Bush Carnival, the festival includes World Sooty Grunter fishing competition, markets, Zach Mach Mackay Adventure Challenge, Wintermoon Folk festival, theatre performances, the spectacular Lantern Parade and free family entertainment, and includes a number of functions to celebrate Mother's Day.
In addition to the events, visitors can experience Eungella National Park - camping, rainforest walks and platypus viewing. All this is available less than one hours drive west of Mackay, Queensland.... less
