Description

The Forest Flying eco-tourism experience allows you to view the pristine rainforest of Finch Hatton Gorge from a unique angle. Suspended in your personal harness up to 25 metres above the forest floor, you can glide along the cable through the rainforest canopy. This guided serene and educational experience is unique to Australia. Each tour takes approximately one to two hours. Bookings are essential either by phone or email.

Other Information

Children:
Children aged five to ten years will be assessed on their level of fitness and individual capabilities and usually do this activity in tandem with an instructor. Not suitable for children under five years of age. No discounts for children and all children must be accompanied by an adult.

Further Details:
Maximum weight of participants 120 kilograms. Tour is weather permitting.

How To Get There:
Self drive or tour buses from Mackay. Follow the signs to Eungella National Park from Mackay. Just before the township of Finch Hatton turn right to Finch Hatton Gorge. Follow the road for approximately ten kilometres. Cross over the creek crossing (usually less than four inches deep and accessible to all vehicles but call them to check conditions if unsure or if there have been heavy falls of rain recently) then Forest Flying is first left. Follow the signs to Forest Flying. If you come across any gates please just go through them. The first one may look locked but it is not locked!

Suspended in your personal harness from the flying fox-cableway you can glide along the cable through the rainforest canopy at tree-top level up to 25 metres above ground. The guided one to two hour serene and educational experience is personalised, unique to Australian tours. Bookings are essential.
