Amateur history buffs will get a kick out of the Sarina Sugar Shed with a ‘touchy-feely-tasty’ journey through the history of Australia’s sugar cane capital. Get an understanding of the mining industry with a free tour to the Blair Athol Coal Mine and see the mines in action along the Mining Trail!

If you love the performing arts, make sure to double-check the Mackay events calendar and get along to one of the arts and music festivals on throughout the year. Or, you can make you way to the Mackay Entertainment and Convention Centre to see what’s on.
