Australia's best big band drummer, John Morrison and renowned jazz singer Jacki Cooper bring their humour and swinging sounds to Bond University's 2012 free music series finale.
John Morrison opened the Sydney 2000 Olympics with his Swing City band and younger brother, James Morrison. He is a gifted educator, producer and patron of many outstanding youth bands and orchestras, and has played with numerous internationally known artists. As a mentor, John has supported hundreds of young people into successful playing careers. Jacki Cooper has toured the Unites States, Europe, Russia, Scandinavia, Vietnam and China, and performed with the Shanghai Symphony Big Band.
Swing into Summer with John and Jacki, the Gold Coast Youth Orchestra and Gotta Swing dancers, a vintage surfboard display from Surf World Gold Coast, historical photos from Gold Coast City Council's Local Studies Library, and some swinging sixties era classic cars!
