Enjoying trapping for crabs, fishing or sit back and enjoy the scenery. The cruise now departs from the new attraction, Birds Bay Oyster Farm, on-shore and adjacent to the private oyster leases. An idyllic setting on the banks of the river, the Birds Bay oyster farm cafe offers a new and different way to enjoy freshly cooked crabs and farm fresh oysters with other seafood delights.

Children are welcome. Children under three years of age are free of charge. Children are assisted by crew to participate in activities.
Disabled:
There is access for guests with a disability. Wheelchair access is available on all tours and assistance provided. Please contact the company to discuss your requirements. Wheelchair toilet facilities are available onshore at the Oyster Farm.
Cancellation Policy
There is a AUD5.00 cancellation (administration) fee with every credit card booking.
Cancellation in excess of 24 hours will receive a 100 per cent refund.
Cancellation in less than 24 hours but with 12 hours notice will receive a 50 per cent refund.
Cancellations less than 12 hours will incur a nil refund.
Return transfers are available using Conxions at additional cost.
How To Get There
From Surfers Paradise travel south along the Gold Coast Highway, take the Kennedy Drive exit and turn right right, follow Kennedy Drive till the end and turn left into Gollan Drive, travel along until you come to Scenic Drive and turn right, one you go past a small shopping centre you will come to Birds Bay Drive, turn left and the oyster farm is located at the end of the drive.
If driving from the M1 take exit two Tweed Heads/Coolangatta and take the Kennedy Drive exit and follow Kennedy Drive till the end and turn left into Gollan Drive, travel along until you come to Scenic Drive and turn right, one you go past a small shopping centre you will come to Birds Bay Drive, turn left and the oyster farm is located at the end of the drive.

Catch-A-Crab
Set on the banks of Terranora Lakes, Birds Bay Oyster Farm is the departure point for the multi award-winning Catch-a-Crab cruises, cruising on the Tweed River with activities of pelican feeding, yabby pumping, fishing, trapping for mud crabs and crab show (all equipment supplied).
The Oyster Farm is part of the seafood experience, pickup up freshly shucked oysters to accompany a luncheon feast of famous Queensland mud crabs.
A selection of itineraries and lunch menus are available, ranging from two to four hours duration.
All equipment for activities, fishing rods and bait supplied. Morning tea included. The calm waters of Terranora Inlet are abundant in bird and marine life providing an excellent opportunity for photos.
Tour Information
Transfers from Gold Coast hotel accommodation available at a cost of AUD25.00 for adults and AUD15.00 for children.
