Presented by The High Street, the Australian Street Entertainment Championships, a people power hit at last year's Surfers Paradise Festival, returns to the precinct this Easter long weekend. The event brings together some of the world's best street artists - jugglers, acrobats, magicians and musicians - as they vie for the crowd's attention.

Based around several performance areas, ASEC promises a taste of unsung talent, creative innovation and fearlessly energetic performance. The event's three exhilarating days of pavement performances crescendo with the Sunday afternoon finals on the Foreshore.

Knowing their audience might wander off at any moment, these artisans of the showbiz coalface put it all on the line to dazzle, intrigue and amaze.
