Mermaid Beach, in the southern Gold Coast, offers magnificent beachfront and great breaks for surfers.
Mermaid Beach is, however, known for its 'millionaire's row' of beachfront homes. Many prestigious business owners buy and sell the beautiful beachfront properties on the famed Hedges Avenue because of its location and prestige.
Mermaid offers several accommodation options including motels and self-contained apartments, and a range of alfresco dining restaurants and cafes. Be sure and stop by the Surf Life Saving Club for an excellent meal with views of the Pacific. Mermaid Beach is also close to Broadbeach's shops and holiday attractions.
