Mystery Mountain Gold Coast Hinterland farmstay caters for groups, particularly international school groups of 20-50 people plus leaders and guides. They are a purpose built farm resort located Beechmont plateau in Gold Coast Hinterland, only 45 minutes from Surfers Paradise, and near Brisbane.
They offer comfortable, superior bunk-style accommodation, open fireplaces in winter and reverse cycle air-conditioning in the dining room and bathrooms. Activities on the property can include feeding the miniature horses, goats and alpaca's, bush cooking, cow milking, horse care and handcrafts, Aboriginal style art class, sheep shearing, rainforest walk, and English classes.
The owners, Jan and Garth Keppie, have been Gold Coast residents for over 30 years. They also own and operate the Australian International College of Language (AICOL), an English language school established on the Gold Coast in 1993. School groups are welcome however there is a minimum age of eight years. Full range of farmstay and other activities are available. Tariff includes accommodation, meals and all activities.
Access is available for guests with a disability.
A booking fee of 10 per cent will be requested upon receipt of your booking request, with payment due within 14 days of the invoice.
If the booking is cancelled four weeks or more prior to the commencement date, the booking fee is forfeited.
A final invoice will be issued four weeks prior to the group's arrival.
Full payment must be made within 14 days of the final invoice issuing
If the booking is cancelled two to four weeks prior to commencement, there is a 50 per cent cancellation fee.
If the booking is cancelled less than two weeks prior to the commencement there is a 100 per cent cancellation fee.
If the booking is cancelled due to reasons beyond your control (such as H1N1 virus or airline strike), then there is no cancellation fee.
If the number of students changes less than one week before the group arrives, then there will be a 50 per cent cancellation fee for those students. However, if a student cannot come because they have become sick and cannot fly, or because of urgent family reasons, then there will be no cancellation fee.
Various activities are available such as cow milking, English classes, art and craft classes, horse riding, bush cooking, rainforest walking, animal feeding, sheep shearing and bush dancing.
