Cancellation Policy

If more than 30 days notice is given for a reservation cancellation, guests will be refunded their deposit less a AUD$50.00 cancellation fee per cabin. If less than 30 days notice is given for a cancellation, no refunds or credit will be given. At least 30 days notice must be given for date or other alterations.

An AUD50.00 administration fee applies per alteration. At least 60 days notice must be given for group booking changes or date alterations. An administration fee may apply. No refunds will be issued for cancelled reservations that were made via Ashmore Palms' online reservations system, via third party websites or through travel agents. Changes are not permitted to online reservations and reservations made via third party websites.

General Comments

Set on 14.5 acres of landscaped gardens surrounded by native and exotic bird aviaries, Ashmore Palms offers a variety of self-contained cabin accommodation. Children will be delighted with free face painting, children's games and Macca's Madhouse playground, and all the family will enjoy the two swimming lagoons and tennis court.

How To Get There

Below are some driving instructions to assist you in locating Ashmore Palms once you are within the Gold Coast region. Choose the appropriate instructions, based on the direction in which you are headed.

Heading south from Brisbane on the Pacific Motorway (M1)
Take exit 66 off the Pacific Motorway (M1). This is the Smith Street Motorway exit (Route 10) which heads towards Southport. Do not take the Gaven Exit. Continue straight ahead along the Smith Street Motorway and then take the Olsen Avenue (Labrador/Southport) exit, which is Route Four. Turn right immediately at the lights onto Olsen Avenue (Route Four). Follow for one and a half kilometres and then turn left onto Nerang-Southport Road (Route 20) towards Southport. Follow for 600 metres and turn right at the roundabout into Hinde Street. Ashmore Palms is located at the end of Hinde Street.

Heading north from Gold Coast Airport (Coolangatta)
Turn left from Gold Coast Airport onto the Gold Coast Highway. Stay in the left lane. Turn left onto the Brisbane - Pacific Highway exit. Stay in the right lane and turn right at the lights to join the Pacific Motorway (M1). Take exit 69 off the Pacific Motorway (Nerang North exit). Follow route 20, turning left onto Nerang Connection Road and then turn left after 700 metres onto Price Street which becomes Southport-Nerang Road. Follow Southport-Nerang Road for approximately five and a half kilometres. Turn right into Hinde Street at the large roundabout near Sunshine Ford. Ashmore Palms is located at the end of Hinde Street.

Heading west from Southport
Follow Southport-Nerang Road west for approximately three and a half kilometres. Turn left into Hinde Street at the large roundabout near Sunshine Ford. Ashmore Palms is located at the end of Hinde Street.

Heading east from Nerang
Follow Southport-Nerang Road east for approximately six kilometres. Turn right into Hinde Street at the large roundabout near Sunshine Ford. Ashmore Palms is located at the end of Hinde Street.

Heading north from Surfers Paradise
Drive through Surfers Paradise and head north towards Southport. Drive over the Gold Coast bridge and turn left at the first set of lights onto Ada Bell Way (Route 20), which becomes Queen Street. Follow past Allamanda Hospital and then turn left at the lights onto Southport-Nerang Road. Follow for three kilometres and turn left into Hinde Street at the roundabout near Sunshine Ford.

Heading south from Brisbane Airport to Ashmore Palms.
If you are driving to Ashmore Palms from Brisbane Airport, head east along Airport Drive towards the Gateway Motorway. Turn left onto the Gateway Motorway to head south. Follow the Gateway Motorway over the Gateway Bridge (Tollway), still heading south. Take the Pacific Motorway (M1) exit, to head south towards the Gold Coast. Tariff Text

Each cabin type has a different minimum stay, dependant on whether the dates fall in the off-peak, mid, peak or summer peak seasons. Please note that Ashmore Palms is closed on Christmas Day. Arrivals and departures cannot be scheduled for Christmas Day or New Year's Day. The peak period over December/January is Ashmore Palms Summer Peak period. A surcharge applies for stays over this period and a minimum seven night stay applies in all cabin types.

Rates quoted are for the first one to two persons. The charge for additional adults (14 years and over) is AUD15.00 each per night and the charge for additional children (3 to 13 years inclusive) is AUD10.00 per child per night. (Prices are in Australian dollars and are inclusive of GST.) Infants under three years of age are no charge when using existing bedding. Linen is provided for booked guests. The maximum number of occupants allowed per cabin must not be exceeded and includes adults, children and infants.

Cot and High Chair Hire
Cots and high chairs are available for hire at AUD3.00 per night or AUD15.00 each per week with a AUD50.00 bond for each item. It is recommended that you book these hire items in advance as they are subject to availability.

Member Rates
Members of BIG4, NRMA, RACQ, RACV, RACT, RAA, RAC (WA) and AANT are eligible for discounted "Member Rates" for each cabin type. Please log on to Ashmore Palms' website or contact their Reception Team for Member Rate prices. Further discount does not apply to the 7-Night Specials or other Hot Deals. Different conditions apply to group reservations and reservations made with Travel Agents. Please contact Ashmore Palms' Reservations Coordinator for further details.

Deposit and Account Balance
A nominal deposit is required to secure each booking within seven days of making the reservation. If arriving within one month of making the reservation, the deposit is required upon booking. Holiday cabin reservations attract a 20 per cent deposit, with a minimum of AUD150.00. (Rainforest Retreat and Macaw Mansions require a 25 per cent deposit, with minimum of AUD200.) The deposit can be paid by credit card over the telephone - Ashmore Palms accepts Visa and Mastercard. Personal Cheques will only be accepted if received more than two weeks prior to arrival. If sending a cheque or money order, please record your full name, postal address, phone number and reservation number on the reverse side.

The balance of your account, plus an AUD50.00 key bond and any other applicable bonds, is payable upon arrival at Ashmore Palms by cash, credit card, or EFTPOS. Please note that cheques are not accepted on arrival.

Different booking conditions apply for Interim Cabins. Interim Cabins attract a deposit equivalent to two weeks rent. The full balance of the account must be paid upon arrival, along with an AUD50.00 key bond and AUD100.00 cleaning bond.

Holiday Villa

The Holiday Villas are popular with travellers on a budget. These compact two bedroom cabins are fully self-contained, with cooking facilities, double bed in the master bedroom, a compact kids bedroom with a two level bunk (recommended for children only) curtained off from the living area, linen, television, bathroom with separate toilet, air-conditioning and private driveway parking for one vehicle. Sleeps maximum four guests. Recommended for 2 adults and up to 2 children.
