Adventure in the Gladstone region starts right in the city. Cruise around town on some of the coolest rides around with Scooteroo Tours’ mini chopper bikes or jump on a three-wheeled DC Cruiser direct from the streets of San Francisco. Just north of the city you can play a round at Gladstone Golf Club, an 18-hole course that's one of Queensland's most scenic.

In the coastal towns you'll find plenty of thrills on the water including kayaking and surfing with 1770 Liquid Adventures. Jump on a boat for Southern Great Barrier Reef Tours including the coral cays of Heron, Wilson and Lady Musgrave islands. These are great spots for water-loving adventurers where you can swim, dive and snorkel in some of the clearest waters on the reef.

If you love fishing the villages of Boyne Island and Tannum Sands on the Boyne River offer some excellent saltwater fishing spots, while freshwater fishing enthusiasts can throw in a line at nearby Lake Awoonga for barramundi, mangrove jack, grunter or perch.
