Queensland Holidays - The Official Tourism Site for Queensland

Gladstone City and Hinterland

Gladstone City lies on the shores of Port of Gladstone, home to a burgeoning resources industry and Queensland's busiest harbour.

On a day out in Gladstone you can picnic in the award-winning Spinnaker Park which includes a beach cove for the kids and walking tracks through flora wetlands. There's also the 83 exotic hectares of Tondoon Botanic Gardens to explore.

If you love culture and old buildings there's some beautiful heritage-listed structures in the city. Gladstone Regional Art Gallery and Museum includes works depicting the long-standing relationship between industry and Gladstone City.

Gladstone is also a seafood lover’s paradise. In the local restaurants and cafes you'll find the regional delicacy Mud Crab and a selection of local reef fish, prawns, sea scallops, bugs, oysters and freshwater crayfish.
