Facing Island is located approximately 12 kilometres from the Gladstone mainland and is accessible by private boat or barge service. The Island has long sandy beaches and designated camping areas, perfect for those who have four wheel drives, a fishing rod or a surfboard, or simply want to relax and explore the unspoilt bushland and coastline.

Reservation Details:
Camping is permitted at the Oaks Camp Grounds on Facing Island.
Bookings and permits are required and can be obtained from the Gladstone Visitor Information Centre or through the web. Camp Sites start from AUD5.

How To Get There:
Access to Facing Island is by private vessel or barge; operated by Curtis Ferry Services.
Barges can accommodate passengers and vehicles, however it is recommended to book in advance.
