If the Northern Territory is your idea of a Holiday, try Litchfield National Park and Kakadu. Whilst you're there go to Arnhem Land and Jim Jim falls and Twin falls.
In Queensland pick up off road four wheel drive rental vehicle from Brisbane, Hervey Bay as well as Rainbow Beach, or if you are feeling adventurous Hotham Park or Cape York may be your thing then get your four wheel drive rental vehicle in Cairns.
