Fraser Coast

Everyone on the boat holds their breath in anticipation, waiting for the white spray of water to pinpoint where the mother and her calf have gone. Suddenly out of the deep, the humpback whale lurches above the waves then crashes back into the water, her giant body overshadowing the small boat.

It’s an event that is sure to stay with you for the rest of your life, and just one of the natural encounters the Fraser Coast is famous for.

Be energised as you swim in the crystal clear freshwater lakes of Fraser Island, the world’s largest sand island and one of the only places you can see rainforests growing in the sand. Or, don your scuba gear and marvel at the graceful movements and sheer size of the Manta Rays around Lady Elliot Island and the corals of the Great Barrier Reef.

Then, after a long day on the water kick back and enjoy the relaxed friendly atmosphere of Hervey Bay.
