The cloudless sky stretches far to the horizon and frames the spectacular view below. Through the window of the helicopter you track the white ribbon of sand as it meanders along the coast and into the distance. Four wheel drives look like tiny ants marching on the beach and coastal townships are merely little specks dotted along the edge.

Further up, sun reflects off the blue ocean and you can see the famous beaches of Fraser Island clearly outlining its lush green rainforest interior.

A scenic flight is one of the many adventures waiting for you when you visit the Fraser Coast. There are also off-road tours of Fraser Island, whale watching and horse riding at Hervey Bay, or snorkelling the colourful corals around Lady Elliott Island.
